Our goal is maintaining Martin Park as an unspoiled natural tract of land and preventing uses and development from endangering its goal as a Nature Center. There are many ways Friends can help by giving assistance to the Directors/Naturalists in programs of education, natural habitat improvement, park maintenance and by increasing awareness to the public through educational events and outreaching programs.

Friends serve as an agency where interested citizens, like yourself, can help contribute to the improvement and use of the Park. We provide financial support for nature programs, needs to help support flora, fauna, and special events for the public. Volunteerism is a part of being a Friends. We love financial support, but bringing in new Friends is critical to our goals. We take it to heart you can never have too many Friends.

Meetings

Our meetings are held every two months. We gather in the Parks library the second Sunday of every odd month at 4:00 pm. These are open meetings, everyone is welcome. 

Special events are offered throughout the year for members. These are announced as they become scheduled.
